Job Summary:

Chargebee is looking for a Sr. Director, Field Operations to play a key role in helping structure, scale, and optimize our Sales and Business Development motions. As a trusted advisor to our Sales & Partner & Business Development teams, you will provide feedback, leadership, and guidance on segmentation, commission plans, territory assignment, process improvements, key metrics, and many other operational areas. To be successful in this role, you’ll have a customer-centric attitude and appreciation for working collaboratively in a fast-paced, globally diverse environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Chief Revenue Officer & SVP Global Sales

  • Lead go-to-market planning and drive execution and adoption at a regional and territory level

  • Interpret and assess current sales and business practices and provide innovative approaches for improved efficiency and effectiveness

  • Drive adoption of new business sales operations best practices

  • Develop and implement short-, medium- and long-term plans that align with corporate objectives and lead to the achievement of sales/business development goals

  • Lead projects with key stakeholders and cross functional partners to make decisions on key sales strategy improvements

  • Develop and distribute information and insights about prospects, customers, sales activities and assets that improve sales performance

  • Proactively partner with sales & business development leaders on all operational and strategic issues for their businesses, e.g., territory assignments, quota setting and localization of global sales strategy and initiatives

  • Maintain strong working relationships with sales management, Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to achieve the above objectives efficiently and effectively

  • Play a vital role in driving annual strategic planning process through data-driven recommendations

  • Partner closely with the data insights team on the metrics, reporting, and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions and sales performance improvement insights

  • Define and create monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for business reviews (in partnership with GTM leadership)

Skills and Experience:

  • MBA or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years in direct sales operations experience, with time spent growing sales organizations.

  • Salesforce-CRM with in-depth experience and knowledge of best practices, along with proficiency in reporting and dashboards including custom report types, filters, formula fields, dynamic dashboards and dashboard filters

  • Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent analytical and financial modeling mindset, with ability to succinctly interpret data and present findings to senior executives

  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders in both virtual and in-person settings

  • Strong strategic, analytical, project management and communication (oral and written) skills

  • Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships across global cultures

  • Ability to think creatively to come up with workable solutions

  • Previous experience as a seller or sales manager with international business exposure, a bonus

  • Global SaaS and B2B experience preferred
