Job Summary:

The Strategic Partnership Manager  will manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships and identify, onboard, activate, and enable new partners that will deliver unprecedented value to our customer community. 


The Strategic Partnerships Manager will design and articulate the shared value proposition, or “Better Together” story, for Chargebee and its strategic partners, to bring highly differentiated solutions to the market. To be successful, this role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse set of teams, including internal and external sales, marketing, product, and partner teams. Day to day responsibilities include engaging with our partners in support of shared marketing and sales initiatives, coordinating product development and enhancements, and the training and support of commercial teams. Each Strategic Partner will have a plan in place to drive program momentum and adoption, increase referrals and cosell opportunities, and manage joint go-to-market activities. Top candidates will have a solutions mindset and experience with value selling and differentiation strategy. 


You possess outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. You are expected to be a strategic thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment. You have a strong executive presence and are comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships to help identify, onboard, activate, and enable our most important partner relationships.
  • Build and maintain commercial relationships that lead to shared revenue impact for both Chargebee and our Partners.
  • Work closely with Marketing to activate our partnerships in the field, through activities such as webinars, events, co-branded content, and customer stories.
  • Lead presentations of enablement content alongside the partner account managers to enable both Partner and Chargebee teams to articulate the value of the partnership.
  • Partner with the Partner Operations, Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to ensure the needs of our partners are prioritized and coordinated to drive revenue impact.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through a needs assessment, program requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Develop individualized and group training programs that address the goals and objectives of both internal and external organizations.
  • Develop recorded case studies and integration demos into learning tracks and shareable professional-level videos and content.
  • Ensure that the overall partnership is meeting business needs, delivering revenue impact, and continuously improving.
  • Serve as a thought leader and guide the development of one or more of our Partner programs (Payments, Integrations, Professional Services, etc.) to help Partners and employees understand the structure, value, and strategy of each program.

Must Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Partnerships, Sales, Solutions Consulting, or a related field that focuses on the delivery of differentiated solutions.
  • Experience managing commercials such as sales pipelines, renewals, referrals, or rev-share agreements.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable building from scratch, taking initiative, and driving strategy in an ambiguous environment.
  • Data-driven approach: Experience using data tools such as a PRM, spreadsheets, Salesforce, to track partnership performance, build revenue models, and present quantitative results to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in G-suite and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between US$200,000 and $220,000.


Chargebee is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation packages. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience/qualifications, location, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
